Good Reader Behaviours and Fix Up Strategies

Our Fix Up strategies are what we use to prompt our students when they are stuck on a word. Using the same language with your child when they are reading at home will help to avoid confusion when they are learning to read.

These good reading behaviours are what we use with the children to model how to understand and make sense of a text. At the moment Year One are focusing on Activating our Prior Knowledge, Making connections with texts and Asking Questions.
