Term 4 Inquiry: Caring for our Environment

To begin our inquiry unit about the environment, Year 1 went on a walk to check out the different types of environments in the local environment. We took lots of photos and found lots of different types of environments. 

Following the walk, the students learnt about natural and built environments, and were able to sort the pictures of environments into those categories. 

They are now working on a mini project to inform others about one environment in the local community. They are including information such as the type of environment, its purpose, who uses or needs the environment and its location.
