It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

With Christmas only around the corner and the beginning of Advent, we've made a few changes to our classroom. The kids love it! (And so do the teachers!)

Our Environment Unit

Year 1 is having a great time learning all about the environment. We have done lots of learning and had plenty of hands on experiences like making grass heads, setting up our own worm farm, composting the munch and crunch rubbish and gardening with Mrs Grieve. The students are now working on their final projects to inform others about one way to reduce their ecological footprint.
See the photos below!

Recycled Projects!

As you are aware we have been learning all about reducing our ecological footprints.

One way to reduce our ecological footprint is to reuse materials for another purpose. Using all of the recycled materials that were brought in over the past two weeks, Year 1 have created many different things. Below are photos of the finished products, as well as some photos of students in the design process.

We hope you enjoy!!
